Anonymous asked: How do you get your cakes to look so ... fake? :D In a good way. It's so smooth and soft looking. Is that just regular frosting, or do you do something to them?
Well Anon, I’ll use your ask to remind everyone that I do not in fact make these cakes myself!
And (I know you did not ask this but…) I also do not know prices nor can I sort the cakes out based on location. The only way to find the prices or location of the bakers is by clicking on the link beneath the picture of the cake!
A good majority of the cakes appear to have fondant on them though which gives a smoother appearance than buttercream frosting. As for how the people who use buttercream still get it so smooth… that’s a mystery to me too! Years and years of practice would be my best guess.
